James has been an independent consultant since 1989, specialising in supporting the personal and professional development of senior managers. He has worked extensively with professionals in executive roles and published work includes a book on developing teamwork in primary health care. His mentoring places particular emphasis on providing a place for reflection and support in an independent and confidential setting. From this place of safety, the client can challenge ingrained assumptions and patterns of thinking in themselves.

James has been working for over fifteen years as an external coach/mentor bringsing analytical and process skills to help the client reach a clear perspective on the issues they face and how to move forward. He bings to this experiences ranging from his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees; Master Practitioner qualification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) ; qualification in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and extensive business and strategic planning experience with a multinational oil company.
